I was just looking through the various reviews on your site and finding them very useful, informative, and apparently honest....... Until I came across the review for the Vapie. After reading that "review" I highly question all of the other reviews I've read on your site.
This unit is _far_ from "professionally made and highly efficient". From what I could tell NO "research and effort was put into the Vapie". And as for the "specialised circuit board to control and maintain temperature".... I'd be highly suprised if it was more than a simple potentiometer you can buy @ radio shack.
A friend of mine purchased one of these online. When he received it, we discovered that not only is it "your typical soldering iron vaporizer", but it's made out of very low quality plastic, and even the metal looking material on the outside is nothing more than a semi-holographic sticker. It was very poorly constructed and designed: the lid did not make an airtight seal and was a pain to rotate out of the way. I would hardly call what eminated from the herbs after use "vapor". It was much closer to smoke and the highly charred remains of our herbs confirmed that. When we accidentally left it on and returned after watching a movie, we found the soldering iron portion had heated up so much that it melted the plastic holder and had leaned and melted a hole in the side of the unit!!! This clearly shows the temperature of the device is not maintained, and also suggests that you could be inhaling dangerous plastic fumes when using it!! I would highly recommend NOT buying this product. It is terrible quality and from what I remember, even overpriced for something that bad.
